Refund Claim Status Overview

The Refund Claim Status section gives you complete visibility into the progress of refund requests submitted to ad platforms (Google, Meta) based on your audit findings.

Where to Find It

Login to the Vaudit platform. On your Dashboard you will find the Refund Status for each website you manage.

Navigate to the individual Website Summary by clicking on the 'Check Detail' button.

Once on the Website Summary, scroll to the Refund Claim Status panel, located just below your overcharge and audit coverage metrics.

What You’ll See

  • Case ID
Each refund claim is assigned a unique case ID for easy reference with platforms or Vaudit support.

  • Refund Claim Amount
The estimated dollar value (e.g., $500) you're seeking to recover, based on the audit.

  • Progress Tracker
The four stages of the refund process are clearly visualized:

    1. Submitted – The claim has been generated and submitted to the relevant ad platform.

    2. Processing – The platform has acknowledged the claim and is reviewing it.

    3. Successful – The platform has approved all or part of the refund request.

    4. Refund Paid – The approved amount has been credited back to your ad account.

Best Practices

  • Submit Promptly: Refunds are time-sensitive. Be sure to submit your claim within the platform's refund window (usually 60 days from the click).

  • Integrate Platforms: Ensure Google Ads and Meta Ads are connected in the Website Health panel to allow seamless claim documentation.

  • Track Regularly: You’ll be notified of updates, but we recommend checking this status weekly for progress.

Tip: Proactive vs. Reactive

Refunds are valuable but often partial and can be slow. The real ROI is in proactive protection by implementing IP/domain blacklists using the Blacklist Invalid Traffic button, you can prevent wasted spend before it happens.
